UK Student Conditions
The Immigration rules require students who wish to study in the UK to meet certain conditions that relate to: the place that you may wish to study, your course, your ability to follow the course, your finances your intension during and after your studies. As a guide, you must provide an unconditional offer letter of acceptance from SAN Michael College, all your academic records, Your sponsor's bank statement and letter confirming your relationship remembering that you must be able to account for your course fee and living expenses. Your UK Host sponsorship letter stating that he/she would be supporting you and provide you with accommodation during your studies in the UK. You would be expected to pay a minimum deposit of £800 for up to level 6 Diploma course and £1000 for all degree courses.
Levels of fraud are increasing so you must make sure that all supporting documents are genuine and original. A new system call Point Based Systems would be introduced from April 2009 Look out for details at UK Visa

“Any college recruiting students from abroad will in future need to be registered on a new Home Office Sponsors’ Register. To qualify for the register they will have to show they have been accredited by an approved body … The following accreditation bodies have been approved to accredit private educational institutions before they can apply to register on the Home Office’s PBS Sponsor Register:
The British Accreditation Council (BAC) which offers a more general accreditation service to cover a wide range of different educational establishments and their courses … [as opposed to the English Language-specific Accreditation UK service]”
Enrolment and registration with professional bodies
All full time students are required to provide certificates and documents at enrolment to confirm their qualifications, identity and status . It is these certificates that students would be expected to send to the professional bodies for registration which would enable them take their examination externally The College reserves the right to seek further information in individual cases for the ability to pay tuition fees.

When you arrive at San Michael College you will be welcomed to the campus during our enrolment and induction weeks. It is important that you arrive at the College before enrolment begins. For enrolment dates please contact the Admissions Office.

Enrolment
Enrolment is the administration process you will attend when you first arrive at the College, and it will involve registering for classes, settling any outstanding fees,collect your college Identity Card and collecting boo
ks and timetables. It is also an opportunity for you to meet academic and administrative staff, open a bank account, apply for your student discount card, and much more.
Induction
Induction week follows enrolment, and is designed to familiarise you with the College campus and its respective facilities. You will be introduced to your course tutors, learn about study materials and our library, and meet your fellow students.
Induction week is good fun, and includes the popular Freshers’ Reception, and a variety of social events that have been designed to give you a flavour of studying and living in the exciting world city of Birmingham.
